We recently had the Lindsey vehicle out at the apartment complex I live at. I work as a community assistant here and we did this for our residents. I believe that the impact was positive, Thank you so much for being such an advocate in helping people make the right decisions and ensuring those who don't follow the laws are dealt with harshly. I never was able to meet, or know an aunt, uncle or grandmother of mine because their lives were taken by a drunk driver before I was born. God Bless, Keep strong.

On November 28,2008, the day after or actually Thanksgiving night, my 36 year old baby sister was taken from us by a drunk driver while she was walking down the highway. Teresa was walking north on the shoulder of the road, the driver was going south. He crossed the entire highway, hit her on the shoulder of the road and kept going because "HE THOUGHT HE HIT A DEER". He did not turn himself in until nearly 40 hours later. Teresa was a daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, employee, a friend to most everyone, but above all else, a human being that was left on the side of the road for nearly 8 hours before her body was seen. I am here to do all I can to be a voice for her and all others. May God Bless you all.

On March 18, 2009, I lost my son and daughter in law to a drunk driver, who thought that she could make it home. Thanks to her I will not see my children again for a long time, they didn't make it home. My son wasn't doing anything wrong while taking off from a green light on his side. Instead I had a policeman come to my house at 3:45 in the morning to say "there is no easy way to say this but ' Dwight and Trisha are dead.'" Just put yourself in our shoes and see how it feels to lose a loved one to a drunk driver. Right now I am very angry and hurt. Not only did she take away my son and daughter in law, but she took away a big brother, best friend, co-worker. We need to put a stop to all of the drunk drivers, don't be so easy on their first DWI. They need not to drink and drive. The only way to show them that you mean business, we need stiffer LAWS for drunk drivers. Not just a slap on the hands.

I am Reyna McDonald from Lubbock Tx. I am a victim of a drunk driver and I suffered for many years along with my family. I lost my brother in Law because of alcohol. I am very amazed how Lubbock is trying to put on the ballot a measure to allow sales of packaged alcohol in the city. Please, let us rize up against this crime. It is a crime to approve something that kills, injures, and produces so many kids with alcohol syndrome who suffer for the rest of their lives. Please people of Lubbock wake up and stop dreaming about what you like and want and stop being selfish and hurting others. People who drink they usually say, I am not hurting anyone, but they do in so many ways. It is time to stand up and stop this outrageous crime against the citizens of Lubbock.

On March 2nd,2007. at 4am we got the call that our younger cusin had been taken by Life Flight to a bigger hospital as he and a friend walked into town because they wanted junk food a drunk driver ran off the hwy hitting both teenage boys his friend was killed on impact. And our Kyle was pronounced brain dead later that morning, He was an organ donor so he was able to give others a new lease on life. it was our understanding that the drunk driver after wrecking his truck was calling someone else NOT 911 who was called by someone passing by. This man plead not guilty so our pain goes on as we have to sit in the court room on June 19th with the man who took two wonderful boys. Kyle would have turned 17 this Friday. How can I help not only my family but the family of the other boy deal with this ? Thank you for reading our story. Kyle we love and miss you....

Glad to know this organization is near by. I hope teens will read more on this and get educated before drinking and driving.

My name is Jennie and I'm a victim of an underage, uninsured drunk driver. I just passed my 7 year anniversary of the crash this past April 23rd. I have built a website about my crash and the aftermath that has followed. You can read my entire story at
.
I'm from the Dallas Texas area and I love your site. Keep up the good work!

This is very helpful and full of facts. Keep doing what you're doing MADD. Keep drunk driving out of the community, it's not worth it!
