The DWI Mobile Exhibit shares the impact one Texas family faced when they were hit by a drunk driver. In an instant, their lives were drastically changed forever. The Lindsey family chose to share their story with others to help prevent this from happening again by educating the public and giving an up close and personal look at the damage caused by someone making the deadly decision to get behind the wheel of a vehicle after they had been drinking.
This exhibit is recommended for 3rd grade and up. We will be prepared to give a short presentation explaining the exhibit, this includes a 15-minute documentary as well as a tour. We will also answer any questions from the audience throughout the tour. Each group of students can fully view the exhibit in 20 minutes. Groups of 50-100 people can comfortably view the exhibit.
The trailer itself is 27 feet long and over 15 feet tall and weighs over 10,000 pounds; because the exhibit is large, we do recommend a large wide open space to be provided in order to accommodate its enormity. The exhibit displays four television screens throughout the trailer in order to view the documentary. The screens are difficult to see in direct sunlight; it is best seen inside or at night.
